Gregory believes government should strengthen the relationships that sustain healthy communities, including local farms and food systems. Food systems are acts of community care — a way of life, not an object for profit that cheapens quality to cut expenses.
In Vershire he helped lead town planning around agriculture and local food, helped establish VerShare’s Sustainability Committee, and this year joined Growing Food Together. Orange-1 should be able to feed itself without poisoning the water, air, and soil that make that possible.
